Had our Seastrand buddies over to dye eggs.
Micah was in charge of hard boiling them.
When I saw ALL 12 he boiled, I stuck in a few more dozen.
Good thing too!
All of the kids wanted 25 of their own to dye.
Unfortunately for them, they each had about seven.
All of the sisters (minus Ashley whose husband is in the middle of busy season) headed to the Riviera Maya for Spring Break. We had the very best time! I wish I could have frozen time and we could all be there forever!
The highlights:
The amazing beach was where we parked it most days.
Pippi had smashed bananas on the daily….and loved them!
These two handled a monkey.
The kid pool was great, but a little far….so this was our only time there.
Scout and Dash & Navy and Pippi matched.
I am a sucker for matchers!
The kid’s favorite hiding spot.
Ice cream….the never ending ice cream!
And the dirty faces that follow the ice cream.
The best part of all — the cousins!

Breakfast in bed because Nonnie and Dash couldn’t wake up before 10:00 am.

Scout basically lived in it!
Jon caught Dash a teeny fish, and he was showing it off.

I had the three most tired kids on earth!
Who woke up and repeated for seven days in a row!

Nonnie - you really outdid yourself!
It was a stinking blast!
RoRo had his 6th birthday party.
It was a lot of fun for the kids.
Especially when the “real” Darth Vader showed up.
The other highlight was when they found this mammoth piece of seaweed that entertained them for quite a while.
My favorite part of the party was when the Pips lit us all up with the cutest smiles.
And then went to first base (holding hands) with Sturdy.
Micah was one of the originators of the “Pants Optional” Ragnar team. They basically win every time they run. But as the competition gets tougher and tougher, Micah has gone to the bottom of the roster of the fast guys. SO this time, in an effort to stay the unbeatable team, Micah became the coach. He was in charge of stats, driving routes, splits, etc. Honestly, I wish he was just running it again!
We came out to support — obviously!
My kids were in their own “pants optional” get ups.
Navy was originally sporting a hat with her hair tucked into it.
We were trying to make her look like a boy since she was running around shirtless.
We followed the van for a couple of pit stops.
And it was awesome because three of their stops were within miles of our house.
By nightfall, I got them in their PJ’s and had them eating warm oatmeal to stay warm.
It really was a fun night.
AND…. they won it again.
Must have been the coaching!
We were at Brit’s today.
Navy played and played with Pippi and Goldi.
She was as sweet as can be.
Meanwhile, Dash got the hose and started tormenting everyone.
He was as stinky as can be!
And when we finally got the hose away from him….he was found stealing cookies from the pantry!
I found a little Mexican man by Navy’s school who was selling Mexican Corn.
I bought three, and ran one over to Micah’s office.
And then a Mexican Corn picnic ensued.
Scout’s class had a field trip.
She had volunteers sign up before I did, but as the room mom, I graced them with my presence anyway!
Scout always likes when I am along, and he says the other kids like me because I am fun.
Good thing his teacher likes me because at times I always cross my fingers that she doesn’t find me (and Dash) a distraction.
After the Institute, we headed to the grass area to eat lunch.
Scout had a bagel with cream cheese that I had just brought him.
And then — because that teacher likes me, I asked if I could take Scout with me then (and avoid driving all the way back to the school) and she told me to go right ahead!
As much as she likes me — I LOVE her!
You know what is awesome?
When you are rushing like mad to get somewhere, and your two year old is in the car with the keys, and has locked up shop.
And to boot, he has taken off his pants, and is moments away from ridding himself of his diaper.
And that two year old hasn’t done his routine “morning business”.
