Yet again….the leprechauns escaped us!
But they did cause some torment in our home.
Amongst the mess they left….they tied up all of the kid’s toys and made a garland out of it.
But not to worry — we scored some loot.
Lucky Charms and a bunch of gold that dropped from their stash.
After church, I made a picnic and we headed to this little greenbelt to eat up and play as a family.
We rolled.
Rolled with our hands full.
Climbed.
Gummy smiled.
Meditated.
Ran.
Spent 30 minutes trying to break off branches.
Looked handsome.
But most of all — loved each other.
(I didn’t post any pictures of the tantrums or sibling fights. I thought I would write this day down how I wanted to remember it, instead of how some of it really happened!)
I finally decided to let Dash try scootering around the harbor as I ran.
I’ll admit that I was very nervous, but pleasantly surprised in the end.
For the first 1/2 mile, he arabesqued the whole way.
I finally had to stop him.
Things were just way too slow.
Things picked up quite nicely.
Scout, Navy, Dash, Seth and Cade were all in a row.
It was perfect.
But then came the inevitable tears.
I mean — he is only two, and I was asking him to scooter 2 miles.
But low and behold — my tough girl was the one who took the spill.
The best part — when Dash scootered right past her and told her to get up and stop crying!
Apparently a restaurant supply, furniture shop, and kids clothing shop are no place to take a crabby/tantruming two year old.
Because as bad as it was for him — it was WAY worse for me!
And WAY WORSER (I know that isn’t a word) for my mom who could have had a nice day to herself.
Naughty doesn’t even describe it.
He was HORRIFIC!
Proof:
The drenched left shoe that was all the way in the fountain.
The right shoe was following, but some people kept laughing and saying “he’s going in”, and tipped me off.
HORRIFIC!
All three loved Abalone today.
Dash loved exploring the rocks and sea life.
Scout loved trying the boogie board in the waves for the first time.
Navy loved collecting and playing with Sid.

Not much beats an afternoon at this place.
I originally penned this girl’s eye color at slate grey. I was so excited because they were that color for quite a while. I thought I might actually get a child with eyes close to mine. But times are a changing. We are currently at “stormy blue”. I am crossing my fingers they stay anywhere in the blue category!!! And how cool is the color “stormy blue!” My fingers are crossed that they stay.
There is nothing like lucky charms for a Family Night treat!
Every once in a while I pick up Scout a bit late. And when I do, he waits patiently. Because….he is about the best boy on Earth!
Micah and I are always saying how awesome our cul-de-sac is.
Scout was off with the twinners, but I caught a picture of the rest of the gang doing what they do best.
Scooter/skate/ride!
The Doublewide was made over, and Britni had a party to celebrate her move in.
The house is nothing short of amazing, but the backyard is the real selling point!
While there, the quads had a reunion.
Looks like the Pips and Goldi are still the smallest — I think they are both around 10.5 - 11 pounds.
The other major event — Navy and RoRo got married.
(Scout told me that there was a ceremony that he officiated and that there was a kiss. Clearly she was in hot water for the kiss–But I was glad there was no honeymoon.)
But then Navy had a wandering eye for the stunt man named Grey.
(In all honesty, I am pretty sure these two are the best match of all. Sassy and obstinate with really sweet sides.)
Speaking of wandering, I was with the kids and went to me car to get my good camera.
I was gone for about a minute.
When I got back, Dash was nowhere.
But my eagle eyes spotted a bobbing black shirt in the far distance.
I sent Grey and Scout down to retrieve him, and 19 houses later, they finally caught up.
That kid is going to be the death of me!

Seastrands….glad you are back in the doublewide. My kids have been missing the beach, and I only beach it with a roof over my head!
