It is no secret that I love to see my children’s favorites unfold.
I feel like each time I find out one of their favorites, it is like a mystery unfolds itself.
So when Scout declared yellow to be his favorite color, I was thrilled to know he shared my favorite color as a child.
It was like a special bond was created between us.
And when Navy chose pink as hers, I was excited that she went with such a perfectly girly color that suited her just right.
So when Dash recently declared his favorite color, I was crossing my fingers that he didn’t overlap with Scout’s or Navy’s favorite.
And cha-ching…..he chose an original!
But that original has such a special meaning.
It is only the favorite color of one of the greatest boys on earth!
So now I declare to the world….not only does Jake fancy it, but Dash is my orange boy!
I love that he kind of went out on a limb.
He didn’t pick one of the typical boy colors, but instead chose what was really near and dear to his heart!
So orange it is!
And I love it.

Disclaimer…he 95% of the time says orange, but has said white a few times. Either way, I love the originality. I like him in orange, but you know that white is my current favorite color….so if it be white, I have just gained another special bond with one of my sons! As long as he never says purple, I am pretty much game! (Not because it is Micah’s favorite color….because next to brown, it is about my least favorite color on earth!)
