The beauty of Midway is that there is TONS of stuff to do inside and outside.  So no matter the elements, the kids are having fun.  Here are just a few things our kids did while we were there:

Navy was the queen of snowballs.  She would go out and make them for an hour.  She was so content and proud of her work.

Dashy took a particular liking to the drum in the barn.  At night, Britni would bang it rhythmically as the kids cleaned.  The faster she got, the faster they needed to clean.

The kids played at the neighborhood playground for a few hours one afternoon.

Scout took to jumping in the snow.

While Navy headed down the slide.

Or made snow angels.

Every once in a while,  they would all play some game on the IPad while sitting next to the fire.

Surprisingly, one of Navy’s favorite things to do while we were there, was wash and dry the dishes.

She would use dishes just so she could then clean them.  It was like finding a little gold mine!  I hope she likes it in California as much.

And one afternoon while she was washing/drying, she came up with a “Science Experiment”.  There were a bunch of colored cups.  So she gathered the boys around and asked them, “If I mix the colors red and blue, what color does it make?”  They all had guesses, but then she put the red and blue cups together to show the color purple.  They were loving it. In fact, the next day, RoRO grabbed the same cups and gathered everyone for his very own “Science experiment.”

Midway is awesome.
But the fact that there is nonstop fun for the kids is what makes it that way!
