This year for Micah’s birthday, I wanted to throw him a party that was really fun. So when the nine couple all showed up, they were given their first clue to a “couples” car rally. Micah’s better half was Britni on this race because I made the whole darn thing up.
The race took them:
To a photocopy machine (photocopying something Micah would frame)
To the Nielsens for a Mensa Challenge (an altered LSAT logic puzzle)
To DHHS — where his football career began (clues were under the bleachers)
To Dianne Zorratis for the love challenge (where they each had to memorize a paragraph from Micah’s first love letter to me)
To the store for Spam
To signs all around town to etch M-I-C-A-H
To the Hansens where they had to retrieve a bracelet after a maze of yarn
And finally back home where I was waiting.

The Zimms came in first, and I literally got chills I was so excited for them.
But going back, there were a few technicalities, and Micah says that he and Brit were the first place team. (If you get down to the nitty gritty, they probably were, but it ended as a “tie”.)
Jim thought my logic puzzle was flawed, so he sat and retried it.
Classic Jim!
At least we finally found a party where he is completely comfortable participating!
Meanwhile all of the other teams were rolling in.
Here is the winning etch and Spam.
The best part of the race was when Marc thought he needed to read one of the clues with a Jewish accent!
We were rolling, and are all so glad the Hemeons are back to join all of our fun!
The night ended with everyone recapping their race.
And then some berry cobbler.
And finally, a few cheerleader stunts.

Happy Birthday Micah.
