My favorite trip these past few years has been to Education Week.  I love every minute of it.  I go with my mom, and we love the classes.  We usually get Tristen for a few days, Seth for a few, and sometimes Ashley.  It really is just fun.  But as much as it is my favorite trip, it is BY FAR the MOST exhausting!  ESPECIALLY when you have an almost 10 month old who is smart enough to know that if he cries, he will get to come into my bed.
After staying in Provo, we moved to the Stein in Deer Valley.  It was fun and in a beautiful setting, but it was at the tail end of Powell/Road Trip/Education Week — and we were all wiped!  But of course we made the best of it, and shopped, visited the Alpine Slides, and swam.  But in honor of the trip, I have a few awards to hand out:

(Sidenote: as we woke up Sunday morning, I said we needed to hurry so we could stop for pancakes for breakfast.  To which Scout said, “Mom, we can’t go get pancakes, because we don’t eat out on Sundays.”  I told him it was a vacation, and that we were allowed to this time.  But he corrected me and said, “NO mom — we can if we don’t have any other options.  But we can wait and eay when we get to Seth’s house, so we can still keep the Sabbath Day holy.”  I said he was exactly right, and agreed that I would wait.  Icka agreed also.  And so we found a few snacks we had on hand, and then waited patiently until we got to Seth’s house -2 hours later - before we ate a real meal.  I was SO proud of Scout, and couldn’t believe that he was teaching me at that moment.  And the major kicker is that my boy Scout like to have food the second he wakes up.  So to wait almost two hours, was beyond impressive.  And he didn’t complain for even one second.)
