Scout hosted a Mother’s Day Brunch for me at ABC. It was literally darling. It was well thought out, and made Scout feel like a champ because he he was really wining and dining me.
He first picked me up at the door with a white rose and escorted me to the fancy set table.
On the table was a gift that I wasn’t allowed to open until he said to.
After we took a (ghastly) photo, He went into the kitchen and brought me out my plate with a lovely salad with fruit.
As he brought it out, he said, “Enjoy” like a real gentleman.
There was an entire spread out on the table if we preferred a bagel, muffin, quiche, etc.
And there were four special drinks to choose from!

After the food, there was a darling performance by the kids that included all of my favorite “mother” songs.
(Mother I Love You, There Is A Name…)

Afterward, the moms were to choose which picture was of them.
Everyone pointed to the red head at the end to be me, but I just knew my boy was too literal.
And I was right.
(Although during the game, I wasn’t — I publicly chose wrong.)
But hopefully my literal boy wasn’t literal about the face.
I asked him if I had been in a car crash in the picture?!
It doesn’t matter, because the words inside are the things I crave.
I love that he wrote such a sweet little note to me.

Scout — you are a little gentleman who really knows how to spoil your mom.
XOXO
