I had to run an errand the other morning and I took Navy with me. So it was just the two of us, and as she was getting in to get buckled, she looked out and very matter-of-factly said, “Aaahh, it’s just so wonderful to see the sun.”
I love this girl.
She sees the beauty in everything.
No matter where we are going, she picks flowers or stops to pick up an ant or lady bug. At times (like when we walked to Ka’s bus stop yesterday to pick her up and walk home), it can make for some slow going, but in the end, I love that she finds little things irresistible.
Most mornings, she goes into Nonnie’s room and finds the rainbows on the walls that are created from the sun shining through Nonnie’s crystal lamps.
I can honestly say that she is literally a girl who “stops and smells the roses”.
