I’ve never invested in any sort of baby bath, because laying them on the bottom in a few inches of water has always done the trick for me.  Each of my babies has loved the freedom to kick like crazy or have fun as I slide them around the tub.  But I will say that a tub would probably do one thing that I don’t have a huge grip on — protect my baby from the big kids.

This day, as I was bathing Dash, I had an eager helper.  I always let Navy think she is the ultimate babysitter (and actually for a three year old, she is).  But at times, she thinks she is the boss.  Like this day when she got right in with her clothes on to bathe the baby.

I was nonchalantly disregarded as she soaped up the sweetest baby on earth.

And then when I told her to make sure not to get the water in his eyes, I could feel the eye roll!
Of course she already knew that!
Actually she is really sweet when it comes to Dash.  She takes care of him constantly, she goes to him first in the morning, if he cries, she sticks her fingers in his mouth (no matter the state her fingers are in), she tells me I need to sing to him, she feels bad when he cries and she never hurts or is rough with him.
I’ll admit…she did a stellar job, and not a speck of soap landed in Dash’s eyes.
Just look at the picture to know that Dash obviously gave his approval as he relaxed during the whole thing — sucking away.
