Can you believe that I have had this boy in my life for five years?
Lucky me.
-
I told him he got to plan out the day with some of his favorites.
Of course swimming was at the top of his list.
(But I have to write down his initial comment — it was, “I think we are going to go to Denny’s for breakfast, and Sushilicious for lunch and that place we got my cast off for dinner…oh yeah Riptide.” He is definitely my son! A good new restaurant for every meal!)
So, in honor of the swimming part, I got these two in their suits (as they both show me that Scout is now 5), and we headed over to the cool new water park in San Clemente.
We had it all to ourselves.
No wonder, because it was pretty chilly out.
But in the semi-warmed water, Scout was having a blast.

It took Icka a little longer to get into it, but she finally got there when she saw how much fun Scout was having.
And then they were having a little too much fun.
Whoops!
I finally yanked my kids when I saw this nasty snot rocket.
The cold finally set in, noses were running, and Navy was starting to complain — so we headed out after about 45 minutes.
Just when everyone wanted to be carried — Bella was there to save the day.
As soon as we got home, the kids jumped into the hot tub — where there was some real warm water!
And Dash looked on from his swing.
-
After swimming, we did hit up one of his eating destinations.
His favorite — Sushilicious!
And we met some hot babes for the celebration.
But Micah met up with the hottest babe of all.
These two are pretty funny together.
I love that after Icka saw Nonnie hugging Micah for a picture, she posed for one of her own!
We opened presents at the table, and Scout got the best present from Nonnie — a bow and arrow called the “Scout”.
So of course we had to stop on our way home to try it out.
Look at his audience!
Then Katniss from the Hunger Games had to get up to try it out.
Looks like this is just the poser “Fatniss”!

Happy Birthday to one of the loves of my life.
