Micah was in charge of the Leprechaun trap this year. I was rather impressed. It was made of Lego’s, and had a golden medallion in the center to entice the tricky little leprechauns. I thought it was brilliant even if Tristen did say, “What does G O L O mean?” Poor Micah — how deflating! Or Should I be saying poor Tristen?
We knew the Leprechauns would be blinded by the gold and never notice they were trying to capture a bad luck skull and crossbones.
Scout and Navy went to sleep and dreamed of the little pests. Navy informed us that she heard them in the night.
Or maybe she heard the leprechaun take off his shoe lace and rig a way to escape.
Or maybe she heard the raucous that took place when the little one got away, but was stuck enough to lose his belt.
Whatever she heard got them up extra early to tell us all about it.
The story was exciting — but the captured gold was even more exciting!
Especially for this guy who divided it quite unfairly to his benefit.
I guess the leprechauns aren’t the only tricky ones around this house!
