I don’t know what has changed in the last few months. I don’t know if it is because she turned three. Or if it’s because she is now in preschool and/or ballet. I honestly don’t know. But my Icka has turned into the sweetest girl on earth. She is way less stubborn. She is much more willing to do what she is asked. She is darling with her two brothers. She is just all around sweet.
Last night as I was putting her to bed, she asked if I would cuddle her. So I cuddled her for about 30 minutes, and only left because Dash was crying. And in those 30 minutes, she must have told me “I love you” at least 75 times. She kept petting my face. If I would turn, she would quietly sneak to the side I was facing and whisper “I love you” over and over again. And then she told me, “When I woke up from quiet time, I was looking and looking for you. And I was so sad that you were gone. I couldn’t find you. And I asked Nonnie, and she said you were at Costco, and I wanted to go with you. I was SO sad.” When I told her I was so sorry about leaving her behind, she said, “That’s okay Mommie, I love you SO much because you came home really fast.”

Now, I know she will have moments of Icka past.
Like when she lifts up her dress to show her booty — and she knows she isn’t supposed to.
We have a saying in our house that “Privates are private”, and this girl likes to hear it often.
So I will reiterate….I know you can’t take the sass out of Icka.
But I think that some of the stubbornness and naughtiness hasleft!
I really can see a drastic improvement in this little girl.
And I LOVE it!
