Navy’s kitchen she got for Christmas has been a hit! She dies over it, and is constantly making someone something. And Scout has made his way into the kitchen, and is the perfect sous chef.
Sweet thing always has to have her apron on, and she has an imagination that goes for days. I love that in her mind, she comes up with masterpieces and force feeds them to everyone.
This cookie set from Megan has been their favorite. They think they are quite the bakers.
The interesting thing is I knew Navy would love this kitchen, but Scout really does like it too. But when I think about it, it makes sense. Ever since he was little, he would crawl into my lap, and we would watch cooking shows. And then, he was always at my side when I was making dinner. He has always been my sous chef, and over the years, I have taught him how to use a knife, stir things, grease a pan, grate cheese, etc. And now, he makes my mom record “Chopped” so that he can watch it from her bed as he falls asleep. Now doesn’t amaze you that the kid will cook up a storm with me day after day, but won’t try a single morsel? He’s my very own walking oxymoron!
Nonetheless, the kitchen does the trick for these two.
Too bad the vacuum in the back doesn’t have the same affect.
