Valentine’s Day is usually a tiny bit flat for us, but not this year. Micah had a doozy for me, and I was pretty impressed with my gift for him.

So I have been on a waiting list for over three years to get a garden plot. The week before V Day, I got the call, and I got my plot! I was and am SO excited. But there is a ton of work to do to get it into tip top shape for my summer garden. For V Day, Micah surprised me with ordering all of the wood and wiring to get my garden set up for me. And it isn’t only getting set up a little bit, he actually said when I called him yesterday to ask what he was up to, “Hey Babe….I am just cruising around town to get stuff for your millionaire garden.” Hopefully it is because it looks like one and doesn’t cost like one!

My gift for the Shmickity Dickity (besides a dinner that really was insanely good) –
I took the kids on a secret mission a few weeks back to get pictures taken of them. Micah has a very big and blank wall in his office that needs a little color.
So we went and took pictures, and I had them all blown up for his office wall.
(This one isn’t for the office wall, but for a frame in his closet. Especially since I was in sweats.)

So we made him close his eyes after dinner while Scout and I put them all up on the mantel. When he opened them, he was really excited. He loved the pictures, and was excited that they were going in the office. And the really amazing part is that I told Scout the day we were taking the pictures what they were for. I told him it was a secret, and he couldn’t tell his dad. And for two long weeks, he kept his little lips sealed. I asked Micah if he ever hinted or gave it away, and Micah said not even a tiny bit. Nice work — my little tight-lipped boy! From this point forward, I elect you as my official confidant.
