Ever since Scout learned he was going to play T Ball this year, he has asked when it was going to start. Well, last Friday was the big day. He was so excited, and had practiced so he was prepared. I was a little nervous about how he would be, but he exceeded my expectations. And he followed all of the rules I gave him before we got there.
Listen to the coaches (most classic coaches of all time), and do what they ask.
Try your hardest.
(Look at that throw!)

When we got out, I told him, “Wow Scout , you did a really good job, and followed all of the rules.” Then I proceeded to tell Daddy all of the rules he followed. And when I finished, Scout piped in with, “And Mom, I also followed the rule to not cry.” I had forgotten that rule, but it is true — Scout didn’t cry for even one second!

And the best part — when we were heading home, I told him how important it is to put his cleats back in the shoe cupboard so that whenever it is game or practice time we know where they are. Again, I forgot I had told him that, but when I went to put his Ugg boots away that very night, the cutest and teeniest cleats sat just where they were supposed to!
