It really is unbelievable that 5 years of marriage has gone by so fast.  In honor of my favorite past time, Micah and I went out to a delicious dinner.  I have wanted to try Charlie Palmers for a while, so was excited that we finally did.

In honor of five years, we both named five of our favorite memories throughout our married years.
- Ireland.
-Outdoor movie nights.
-Meeting up in Hong Kong through fate.
-Dance Dance Revolution.
-The time I was mad and left on my birthday, but he showed up with balloons and cake.
-Scrabble/Jeopardy challenges.
-BBQ with Scout.
-ETC.

The food didn’t disappoint.  Our risotto cakes and stuffed dates were pretty good, but Micah’s pork chop, and my “Thyme Roasted Halibut” with marinated pearl onion foam, with a yogurt sauce, served over fava bean risotto was amazing.

But of everything we ate…dessert took the cake (pardon the pun).  We both looked at the menu, and passed because we were both beyond full.  But as a surprise,  our waiter came out with this ensemble.  It was brown sugar marinated pineapple, vanilla ice cream, a butterscotch strip, and the total kicker was the brown butter cake.  In one word — FabbyDabby!
After dinner, we were headed to do back to back movies — A Team, and Karate Kid.  (We were throwing it back to our childhood.)  We headed to the theatre, and whe our times didn’t jive, we headed to another theatre.  When they didn’t work for us there, I said, “you want to know what sounds the very best….?”  Then I told him that “sneaking into the house and laying down to bed….”. I didn’t finish before he redirected the car to home and said, “Man it is 9:30….we are pathetic!”
Pathetic — no!
Well-rested — yes!
