While we waited for Scout to get back from sea, I took Navy to one of my all-time favorites. I picked a safe bet for her, and gave her fries with dip. She is always good for anything with dip. (But let’s be honest…she is always good for anything food — period.) Her meal time antics were the usual ones….
First, she asks for her “Nummy Nummy” nonstop until it is right in front of her.
She starts out pretty interested in her food as she sits nicely in a high chair (unless it’s at home).
She is quiet and focused on the meal. This day, she gives out an UUUMMMM!
And then with no indication at all, she decides she has had enough and pops up.
(Don’t mind telling me about the restraining belts that she can quickly maneuver right out of.)
She throws her hands in the air, and starts climbing.
Either on the table, or over and out of her chair.
This “pop up” usually happens simultaneously with me putting my napkin in my lap to start with my first bite.
No wonder I am so skinny — I never get time to eat.
