Stinky has been absolutely perfect on the potty training front. After about a week, I never put Pull Ups on him again, and he stays dry even through the night. My mom tells me that I don’t have a clue how good I have it. I think that Scout is the one who has it so good — with my coaching abilities and all.
So with Scout being the nonstop comedian, I am usually not surprised by him anymore. But this time ….. without question ….. I was. We had just come home from an afternoon out, and he went into the pantry and grabbed a paper cup with a heart on the outside. About three minutes later, he came out and started calling out to Calin, “NayNay….I have some lemonade for you”, and “NayNay …. you like lemonade …. don’t you?”. As he is walking towards her with his cup, I intercept from around the corner to see the cup is 3/4 full of yellow liquid — and it was definitely not lemonade. Calin was repulsed, I was secretly cracking up behind my reprimands, and everyone else was in awe.
The reactions —– My mom thinks he is beyond smart. Tristen high-fived him. All of the Brockbank kids think he is the coolest toddler ever created. Skilly was telling NayNay that it was only polite to have a sip. And Micah said, “is it bad that I am so proud of him right now?” To answer your question Micah — probably.
