Trey’s birthday party was possibly Megan’s best to date. There was food for days (all spooky themed), make your own glow-in-the-dark slime, a spook alley where the teenagers dressed up to scare the kids, (and I was the creepy tour guide telling them about the spirits who were upset that a house was built upon their ancient indian burial ground — can you imagine??? Oh yeah Zimms —- you can!) What a night! And total props to Trey for letting his 2 year old cousin tag along for the festivities. When I thanked Trey for letting Scout be a part of it all, he was confused. He loved Scout being there, and didn’t know there was another way? Trey is a party animal, and lives by the philosophy….the more the merrier.
These teens just had some practice of their own at Knott’s Scary Farm, and reenacted like champs!
Every tombstone had one of our names on it, and a poem about how we died. Scout was eaten by a trout, and Navy drowned in Gravy. Megan — you are out of control!
It wasn’t a dress up party, but Scout and I are always looking for a reason to whip out a costume. So Captain Underpants made another appearance.
Scout’s favorite part of the night was putting masks on and scaring everyone. I particularly like the last one of his great, great, great grandfather. It was his favorite too!
The next morning, he got up and dug through his goodie bag for a few hours. I love that he is at the age where everything is new and cool.
