Dinner Picnic

A long time ago, my best friend Gary told me that I love everything in excess. He is totally right! So when I purchased a stack of 60 to-go chinese take-out boxes, I was in heaven. Micah…not so much. But he wasn’t complaining when I prepared a dinner picnic for Scout and him with an added touch of ambiance!

A New World?

Scout has loved every inch of Icka since the day she was born. She is 7 months. He is 2 and a quarter. For the first time this morning, he kind of hurt her intentionally. I don’t think he set out to hurt her, but when he heard her crying, he didn’t lay off. When I went to check things out, Scout was riding her like his little horsey. When I saw what was happening, he got an immediate swat to the booty and an extra long time out. He felt so bad when I got him out. Afterward, he gave Navy a ton of kisses and looked at me and said, “I don’t hurt her anymore.” Hopefully I nipped this one in the bud.

Did I Mention….

…that Scout is officially in his big boy bed?

No Name

My birthday had just passed, so when I got a sealed package on my bed one morning, I was excited to see who was running late on my gift.

No name? No address label? Who could it be?

Two of the nastiest and dirtiest diapers I have ever seen.

Not Nonnie — too cheap to let one of her Priority Mail envelopes go to waste.

Not Micah — We all know he doesn’t have two dirty diapers under his belt this early in the morning.

One of Scout’s projects in preschool this week was to decorate my room for my birthday. Nice work Skilly…you are undoubtedly the best!

Working Out

Scout took the easy road while Micah did his sit-ups the other morning. They both look manly….especially Scout, who sported his pink plug and favorite blanket.

Dada

Sweets is finally talking. She munches on her finger and mumbles Dadadada. According to Micah, he has been working with her for a long time on it. I checked up on when Scout said Dada, and it was at the exact same time….7 months on the dot.

All In A Morning

Navy has so many tricks going on, I just caught a few within about an hour of each other.

She holds her own bottle.

She stands up wherever she can…which is everywhere.

She plants kisses. But, only on her few select favorites. Obviously Skilly is one of the few.

A Giveback

On top of Tom’s being for a great cause….these are the cutest little shoes on Scout.
