When I knew I was having a girl, I just pictured a sweet and dainty little thing.  Lately, she is sweet, but as far away from dainty as possible.  She has really been reminding me of her aunt Tristen who I nicknamed Godzilla long ago.  A couple of examples…..First off, I taught her how to roll from her back to her tummy three mornings ago.  She had her tummy to back mastered already, and after our session, she became an expert in both.  I have heard of the stories when Micah was really young (can’t remember how young) when he would roll to get something.  Well, my little thing is rolling all over the place as she spits up along the way.  I have our entire family room covered in blankets so that she can have her fun, and I only have some laundry to do afterward….instead of carpet cleaning! When she crawls, I am a dead woman. Talk about a girl who always wants to be on the move.   And with her constant practicing of getting up on her back legs, I know it’s not too far in the future.
Example #2….I was at Costco the other day with Navy, Tristen and my mom.  At the bagel sample counter, I realized my mom had helped Navy to the treat of my little girl’s life.  So there she was, shoving a bagel ferociously in her mouth.  And when she droppd that sample, my mom demanded that I go back to get another.  After four “go backs”, I finally got a package of bagels, and ripped open the plastic as quickly as I could to get my screaming baby pacified!  Dainty….I don’t think so!

But after all of the mess, all of her spit up, and all of her bellyaching for bagels, she flashes me a smile, and I melt.  There is just something about a smile that involves every single muscle in her face that gets me.
