Scout and I woke up the other morning looking for something extra fun to do.  We decided to take a long walk with Icka and head over to Tristen’s school where she and Skilly were hosting a week long summer camp.  We had a really fun time with many exciting stops along the way.  We stopped to:

…….let Scout play at the park…….

….so I could feed Icka.

Then we went to the farm and picked out a snack to eat.

Then it was off to the petting zoo where we hung out with an ostrich, llama and cow.

We ran over to see if we could take the train for any part of the way, and lucked out because only 5 minutes after we got there, we hopped on until Avery Parkway.

Scout was loving his first time on the train.

Then it was time for a sweet treat at Cherry On Top.

Icka was loving the tart, and would scream until I got her next bite to her.

This was my view for about an hour when Scout and I played “I love you the most”.  We just said it back and forth a zillion times.

Time for naps!

All in all, the walk was just under 11 miles.  We lallygagged the whole way, and stopped whenever we wanted. The two kiddos were literally perfect.  They hung out, we sang, I told them stories, we played games, we stopped, they snacked.  Scout wanted to go the next day, but my three blisters gave me an excuse to skip out.
