Last weekend was really fun. We had it all planned out to go to our annual favorite — Knott’s Scary Farm. So when Micah got a call that one of our favorite people was “flying solo” all weekend we were especially excited. (Tarah was out of town visiting family.) We told Marc about our plans for Knott’s and he was excited to “surf all day until my arms almost fall off” and then head up the road with us when we leave. Tristen and her friend, Jake, Cade, Calin, Micah and I all drove over to Marc’s to pick him up, and from the second he got in the car we were laughing. We always have the best time, but I have to admit that having Marc along just added a little bit more. He had (albeit lame at times) ghost stories, he had jokes, he and Micah thought it was original and funny to scare everyone at every corner in every maze until 2:00 am…..etc. On the way home, he kept us up with his philosophies on how to create the perfect saying/picture for a shirt. (I am amazed he didn’t like any of my ideas.) And when we dropped him off at 2:45 am, he was still going strong.
The next night I made dinner after church, and he joined in on the fun. I love to cook for him, because he is a huge eater and he always thinks my food tastes good. After that we played a little pictionary. He is an amazing artist, and watching him draw simple things like a shoe would blow anyone away. When he finally left, Micah and I were cracking up about him. We both agree that he was a perfect compliment to our groups both nights. Marc — we think you are great, and you are invited anytime!
