Last year, Micah and I went to a charity event that was holding a silent auction. I am a total sucker for anything fun, so OF COURSE I was going to bid. I knew Micah wouldn’t be a fan of spending money on something frivolous, so I literally made it a “silent auction”.
When we were at dinner, a nice lady approached our table and asked Mr. Denison for his credit card, because his was the winning bid. YEAH! Micah handed over the credit card and turned to glare at me. I was just cracking up, and explained that it was really a surprise for him. When the lady returned with a pair of Medieval Times tickets, he started laughing at the ridiculousness of the whole thing. I explained that it was a place I have always wanted to go, but who in their right mind wants to fork out $50 a ticket…….
Well, it was the Zimmerman brothers who wanted to shell out the $50. Too bad they got discount coupons, and we ended up paying the most out of everyone to go. Whoops…next time I will bid on some jewelry!
We went a few nights ago, and had a totally good time. Jessica and John got really into it with me and Micah. At the other end of the table, Adrienne didn’t feel 100%, and Jim was more concerned about eating with his fingers. (Jim is the most classic guy I know!) He also wasn’t really into watching “barn animals”.
The night was great…and I have to admit the fighting was intense. Maybe a few WWF delayed reactions on the fighting, but still fairly good. I can’t wait to take my kids when they are older. Good times with the Zimmerman clan…..let’s hit up some more adolescent/kid friendly attractions in the future. But let’s make sure that Jim has some utensils next time!

It was a lot of fun… but John and I are easily entertained. We think most anything is fun as long as you have the right peeps there!
I say we play lazer tag or miniture golf next… whatda’ say?

I haven’t been to Medieval Times in so long, but this post reminded me of good times. I’m cracking up that Jim didn’t want to eat with his fingers. Why am I not surprised???
And BTW, Brad has been trying to put a Lasertag night together. So I guess now we know who to invite…
