Scout and I had a great time in Vegas! We hung out by the pool, went on walks to the park, went to fun restaurants, played with the boys, etc. On our ride home, Scout was a bit fussy on and off. I think he had a bit of a bad tummy, but we made it alright and the silver lining is….that night he slept from 8:30 pm to 5:00 am the next morning!
Everyone was SO excited to see him. He was literally mauled the second he got in the door. We had a great time, but are glad to be back!
Based on his double chin…I think it is safe to assume that this little baby is very well fed!

Micah and I are going on our 2nd year anniversary! So to surprise him, I planned a weekend away with the two us and the babe. We headed out to Lake Las Vegas and spent the weekend at the Ritz Carlton. We had an absolute blast, and everything was perfect. We basically relaxed all weekend long. Some of the highlights were — Lounging by the pool ordering virgin Pina Coladas and yummy food, Going to the local jazz concert on the lake where we got take-out from a restaurant and hung out on the grass hill, staying in our room with Scout and ordering a good movie, and finally having the Seth and Brett clan come out and meet up with us at the lagoon for a few fun hours!

It has been a while since Micah and I went away together, so it was extra fun. But the cherry on top was having a little baby with us who was perfect the entire time! I think this is what life is all about!
Micah had to get to work so he took a flight home Sunday night, and I am staying in Vegas with Seth and Brett for a few days for a little more relaxation. If you call 6 boys under the age of 7 relaxing. But so far we have had a good time that has involved a lot of swimming and sun!

For my shower, Micah’s sister Bree got me a Baby Bjorn. We used it for the first time over the weekend, and I love it! Scout is so easy to take everywhere in it, and he is totally comfortable in it. He cruises around happily and usually ends up falling asleep in it as well. All of my sisters have had them and told it is a must have — so thanks Bree for the perfect gift!

I am so excited….Scout finally has a couple more outfits he can wear! I have been rotating between about four newborn outfits, but he has finally grown into his smaller 3 month old clothing. At his one month appointment, he was 9 lbs. 6 ounces, so he is one growing boy. Hallelujiah!
So I was chatting with my mom this morning and she handed me the People magazine turned to a page. Just by the gesture I could tell that she wanted me to read whatever it was on that page. Little did I know it would be titled, “How She Lost 100 LBS!” When I saw it I looked back at her and she said, “If she can do it….so can you!” Then she told me if I did…she would give me a shout out. Who knows what that means, so I asked for $1,000 dollars instead! She told me to dream on!
I reminded her that I had a baby 1 month ago. She reminded me that she had a 22 inch waist in college — “the size of your (Lindsey’s) current lower calf”. I then asked her what has happened to her waist since then?
Good old mom! **And for the record…I don’t have to lose 100. Just something between 1 and 100!**
Last night HeMan ended up at Tacky’s house…and for a lack of anything better to do…they shaved their heads! In a nutshell I would describe them both as Handsome! But thank goodness Micah had other plans last night!
It is official….I am finally a Denison! It only took me almost two years, but I finally made my way down to the Social Security office and changed my name from Ure to Denison. Woops! It isn’t that I wasn’t going to do it, I just knew it was going to be a HUGE hassle - and it was!
Since I have been married, it never really was an issue until I was in the hospital having our baby. But when they were wheeling around “Baby Ure” as versus “Baby Denison”, I figured it was about time to get the ball rolling. Micah—I am glad to finally be on the same page as you! XOXO

Scout received the most beautiful baby blessing this morning by Seth. He was perfect through the whole thing, but at the end Seth forgot to show him like they usually do. So when he came down from the pulpit, I said, “Seth, you forgot to show him!” So right there, he showed him, and everyone started laughing because they were all thinking the same thing! Besides Seth’s family, Brook and Jen, the Brockbanks, the Cliffords, the Denisons, the Janischs, the Nilsons, and the Thackers were all there to support. Afterwards, they and others came over for a lunch that my mom, Tristen, Micah, Brett and I had all prepared. However, the man of the hour was pooped, and took a two hour nap on Trilby. For lunch we had chicken croissant sandwiches, pasta salad, green salad, fresh fruit and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Talk about delicious! And to burn some of those calories — we had a big Dance Dance Revolution challenge. My mom broke out the dollar bills and started rewarding the winners. I think Tristen ended up with the most money because she cheats! Anyway, the day was really fun, and We loved having everyone there!
