Just a little evening Chinese homework from a Japanese boy.
Chinese Homework
Picnic Crazies
Navy is the sweetest.
I always know she had a good idea pop into her head as she runs off for supplies.
This day, it was an umbrella and a few snacks to have a picnic on the front lawn.
Dash’s Morning
Lately, the second Dash hears the door chime as the kids leave for school, he wanders out of his own room.
Unfortunately, he gets out an hour earlier than he should be.
But we make do.
He always insists on his own lunch bag.
I tell him he has a deal if he goes on the big boy potty.
Then he tantrums it up like a crazy person, because he doesn’t “have to go potty”!
(Mind you….he is jumping around like a Mexican jumping bean telling me otherwise.)
But after all of the craziness, he goes, he puts his underwear back on backwards, and then he gets his lunch.
Then he sneaks in to grab Nonnie’s black IPad.
He has the same obsession Scout did when he was this age.
And the fact that he can beat me at Temple Run is amazing and pathetic at the same time.
Then I tell him that the black IPad time is over, and he tantrums it up again.
But…
All of the irrational behavior goes by the wayside once he sees his Pips is up and ready to play with him.
Senoritas
My little flower picker was loving the flower-behind-the-ear look today.
And when I told her how cute she looked, she insisted that we match.
Braids
When we wait for Scout, Navy always asks if she can play with my hair.
Uuuh…yes please!
Check out these beauties my five year old created.
Taped Up
Just a little fun in the back seat while we wait for Scout to get out of school.
Apparently she found some tape, and went to town.
Good thing she didn’t cover her mouth because I love picking this girl up from school and hearing every single detail of her (and all of her friend’s) day.
Buddies
Each morning after the big kids leave to school, these two play and play with each other.
Some days they play magnet maker/magnet destroyer.
Other days Fort maker/fort destroyer.
On this day, they were able to play with something that Pippi just can’t destroy.
And to be honest, the playing went a bit smoother this morning.
Playground Pips
This girl can hold her own at home…no problem.
But the big accomplishment today….this girl can hold her own at the mall playground…no problem.
Creepy
When I sent Scout off to his bed tonight, I heard him walk in, and then scream.
When I went to see what the problem was, he recreated the scene.
“I was walking in to go to bed, and then saw Navy in my bed.”
“So I pulled down the covers to kick her out, and look what I saw..”
“Her freaky doll she puts make up on!”
And this was his “reaction”.
-
The best part….Navy giggling from under her bed.
Notes To Mom
I have been getting a lot of notes lately.
These two are some of my favorites:
“Sorry mom for being Sassy to you. Love Navy, Love Navy…heart heart heart heart.”
“Thanks Mom for being a good mom and for making us have fun every day. You are such a great mom to us and we know you work hard every day. You are the best mom. Form Scout. To Mom.”
(This was after a Family Night on being grateful.)
