Rose and Navy were making up skits all afternoon…about a stolen boyfriend, and broken hearts! It was hilarious and very theatrical! And as much as Pippi wanted to participate, she knew it was a big girl thing, and watched on like the admiring little sister.

Capable
I have always said I want to raise capable kids.
Pippi went in and took our dry cleaning. She pointed out the stains on the clothes, and got the receipt with our correct phone number. All she needs now — is a car to drive herself!
Even my cute dry cleaning lady came out and told me how impressed she was with such a little girl doing such a big job!
Thankful Tree
If I can instill in my kids a sense of constant gratitude, I will feel like a successful mother. I try to read them important books, I try to point out our blessings, i teach them to think of “Lucky Me’s”…I am really trying! I don’t feel very successful quite yet, but this tree, that has been filled with some of our blessings over the past 30 days, gives me hope. I loved to see the different things in life we all see as blessings.
Santa Pics ‘19
It is the MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!
And I feel like that “wonderful time” start with our Santa Pics!
This year — without a theme…Brett started buying insanely awful outfits for her Santa Pic — so I joined in on the fun.
And it got better and better by the outfits we found!
See what I mean!
This might NEVER get topped!
I have to admit, that I think Dash is the ultimate! We were laughing so hard at him cruising the mall in boxers and a bow tie! And Santa was loving it too!
This is a favorite picture of Santa telling Pippi some great seasonal advice. This is a great Santa–who reprimands the unruly boys, and then gives my girls extra candy canes for good behavior!
After — we walked the halls of the mall, with lots and lots of stares!
But none of our kids noticed — as they all begged to go to the Apple store and bury their noses into whatever electronic that was free!
Let the season begin!
Turkey Trot
Every year I stand in the same place at the Turkey Trot. I see all of the runners at the half way point, and take pictures. Then, they all loop around, and I see in what order they finish the race. But this year, I waited and waited…and everyone passed me except Pippi and Dash. The race was really starting to thin out, and we already had Christian take first place — but there still was no sign of Dash or Pippi.
Until…
I saw the boy in bright blue, and the girl in bright yellow come down the half-way hill in a slight jog.
I thought they would definitely call it quits, but they turned the way the race turns, and kept running.
By the end of the race, I caught Dash with his arm around Pippi, as they walked towards the finish.
But when they saw me with my camera out, they wanted a strong finish, and took off running again.

I love the Turkey Trot…but this year with Dash and Pippi doing it together for the first time, was especially great.
Pip and Pop
79 years old + 6 years young
These two had the best time shopping today. Pip acted as his nurse. Pop acted as her comedian. Neither were that great at their job, but they both enjoyed the day.
Fishing with the Cousins
Who was the top producer?
Here are the contestant:
Not picture: Dash!
-
The winner you ask….
Scout schooled everyone!!! He had seven fish for the day, and was bringing them up left and right next to legit fisherman that were getting really annoyed! The rest of the kids were from 1-3 each.
The loser you ask….
The only person not pictured…poor Dash got a blank. And was annoyed with me when I told him he could bring up my pole that had its third fish!
More Sentences
For the millionth time — Scout had to write me some sentences — 100 to be exact!
Good thing my heart had softened, when I saw his cut and paste hack.
Life
Knucklehead
If this isn’t Dash in a photo — I don’t know what is.
I guess this same photo of him in his unders would actually be a titch more authentic!
