Model Perfect
In the kids department of Nordstrom, I learned that you must always be model perfect.
After 30 minutes straight of modeling these three outfits, I was exhausted. But the model…I never saw her sweat. And she was so good at what she does….her client bought all three outfits.
Conference Sunday
Between conference sessions today, we ran over to the wild sweet peas and gathered some for our house. We were at the exact same spot one week ago, and the amount of growth in just the one week is insane! I am talking…twice as many flowers as last week. And the smell….there was twice as much fragrance as last week too!
When we got home, Navy and I separated the flowers we picked, and then we started arranging as we listened to conference. It was one of my favorite sessions ever between the flowers and the talks.
By the end, we created masterpieces that smelled better than they looked!
But who knew that something so beautiful to some, could be so lethal to others.
Poor Scout with his allergies this spring.
The Great Return
After many long years of drought and famine….we finally got to celebrate the return of one of the greatest parts of our life today.
Yes…that is correct…the Clifford touch was had by all today after our spring break of filth and disgust. Trilby couldn’t see the kids without grimacing…and after years of waiting…we heard it…”Get in the bath and shower. When you get out…I rub lotion all over you and give you a massage!”
All hail the Clifford queen!
Mid Drive Stop
Some people don’t like my mid-drive stops.
When I was a kid I HATED stopping before our destination.
But on our way home from Lake Las Vegas, I stopped.
We have climbed this hill before, so as it was covered in green, I couldn’t help but stop for the kids to climb it again.
They were supposed to get to the top of the hill that is behind them in the picture, but while Scout was out climbing…our caravan ditched us with two of our kids. Then Pippi wanted to joining Scout and started, but he was too far off. Ultimately, I honked and the kids both came back. There was no climb…but you better believe that Scout and Pippi were rewarded for being good sports!
Lake Las Vegas
For spring break this year, we were trying to figure out what to do. We wanted to meet up with Tristen and her kids, so ended up picking Lake Las Vegas, which is kind of the half way point for each of us. Although it wasn’t the most kid friendly hotel, we made it work perfectly.
The lagoon was perfect with sand play for the kids, and fish catching for the big kids. (No fish were caught since they were trying to use their bare hands.)
A local Chuck E. Cheeses was a perfect evening stop, that created fun for everyone!
The pool and Jacuzzi were perfect for a few days in the water.
AND….
Everywhere was perfect for Dash to work on, and work on, and work on his headstands.
In the baby cribs.
In the cabana, while we were playing cards.
And of course, while visiting our favorite swim teacher who is in a Vegas hospital!
