Ballet Day two lived up to its hype.
Dash heard the hype, and wanted to know what it was all about.
He said at the end, “Pippi was so cute. But I would never want to do that stuff!”
(Thank Goodness I won’t have a man in tights anytime soon!)

The after ballet day 2 wasn’t as successful. I think Pippi might have had her biggest meltdown to date after school and ballet today. Poor girl just needs to get with the program!
King BooBoo is always getting hurt. So much, that I kind of poo poo the injuries. So when he bonked his knee last night into a cupboard, I held him for a few seconds while he was sad, told him that I bet it hurt, and moved on.
You can’t believe how awful I felt, when I saw the outcome today.
He REALLY bonked it.
Poor King BooBoo.
I texted a pic to Carruthy, and told him he was walking straight with no crazy knee movement to the sides, and that we would ice it.
I got a thumbs up.
So we celebrated with some friends at Yogurtland!
When I was taking Pippi to her first day of school, I asked her what she was the most excited for.
She said, “Painting!”
Here it is…her first painting, and “It’s a pumpkin!”
I love how Miss Dianne writes exactly what they say it is. The first of the year always include objects, but by the end, she will paint something like “This is a pumpkin that turned purple because a flood monster put a spell on him.”
I am so proud of my two boys, and their reading skills. Scout has become a legit reader. He whips through books in a week or two, and even goes to bed early to get some reading time in. That is a mother’s dream! Dash is only 5 years old, and is totally reading too! He is the best reader in his class, and he loves it almost as much as Scout.
Now it’s Navy’s turn to get on this awesome bandwagon.
Micah can barely handle these two boys in a wrestling match anymore. Throw Navy in the mix, and he is dunzo. Throw Pippi in too, and it’s lights out.
Today was Dash’s first soccer game.
He nailed the stare down.
He kind of nailed the footwork.
He sort of nailed the point of the game.
But all spectators (Pippi included) were confused about the somersaults, spins and karate chops he was doing on the field!
She memorized it and nailed it.
When a package arrives in the mail, I think Pippi is the most excited. Navy will always try stuff on, but many time begrudgingly — but she always does it, and is a good sport. Pippi, on the other hand, will see a package and flip out over it. When it is opened, and it’s Tupperware or anything else from Amazon, she is so let down. All she wants on our front door, are packages with pretty little things in it for her to model!
My poor boy has had a potty mouth lately.
I have warned him about “hot sauce”, and today was the day.
Although he was kind of laughing when he took it down, the kick came.
Afterward, he said, “MOM! That wasn’t hot sauce. That was Tobasco!”
I told him Tobasco is hot sauce!
Poor guy tried to cool his potty mouth off with mint gum.
I told him bread and milk where what he should look for…and he ran!
Navy is constantly creating.
This isn’t her own creation, but she got a hold of this master creation, and has major goals to create it.
Especially since it has more than one cool trick.
It wasn’t before we were home from school, that she and Scout were dissecting how to make it.
Let the folding begin!
