Megan stopped by to get Pippi on their way to the beach. She said Pippi was perfect. But when she sent these pictures, I’m pretty sure she only had perfect moments.

Noah
My favorite school friend of Scout’s came over today. The mean mom that I am, made them sit and do their homework before swimming. But the nice friend that Scout is, showed Noah his perfect nacho-making skills. The nachos were a hit. The homework wasn’t.
I Spy Dash
How cute is the “I Spy” project that Dash did at school!
I love the spider, skeleton, carrot, balloon, BandAid, apple, monster truck, and witches hat.
But I might like his name on the back, the very best!
Peeping Tom
It is rare that all four kids of mine are up for early morning scriptures but today they happened to be. So I was taking a picture, when I noticed “Peeping Tom” in the background.
For a little background — Scout discovered Peeping Tom. He saw him several different mornings, and one morning even grabbed my phone to video him. Before I ever saw him, I knew that Peeping Tom was a little bizarre, and would do strange but funny things when he walked. So we have now discovered that he usually walks each morning at about 6:45. He never fails to hit our tether ball when he walks by it. A few other things we have all witnessed….
He looks under a lot of cars while he walks by them.
On trash day, he lifts the tops of the trash cans to see what was thrown out this week.
We watched him pick up Navy’s bubble wand one day, and dump the bubbles out on our lawn — and he kept the wand.
He has walked up different front walks to get a closer look at the front porches on our street.
He might sound really creepy, but I think he is just old, curious and harmless.
Who knows???
But for us — he is PURE ENTERTAINMENT!
As soon as I said, “I see Peeping Tom”, all of the kids peek over the couch, and we spy on him as he walks.
And this morning, he didn’t disappoint.
He pushed our tether ball.
And a few feet later, he peeked under our cars.

Peeping Tom…you have no idea how much my kids get a kick out of you.
Isabel
Pippi gets so excited on Wednesdays when the cleaners come. (So do I, but that is because the house sparkles after they are gone.) Pippi’s love is because of Isabel. She is young and has a little girl Pippi’s age, and she loves Pippi. So Pippi gets her own rags, and cleans with Isabel for a long time each week. But lately, their admiration for each other has grown into new hairstyles. Every week, Pippi disappears for a long time. And when she comes back, she always has a new and improved hairstyle — straight from the hands of Isabel. This week she got ponies. And Dash even joined the excitement, and got a nice slickster style from Isabel this week.
I am really glad that my kids and I both love Isabel — maybe for different reasons, but who really cares.
Carousel Bribe
Pippi was having a rough one at the mall. But once the carousel was put out there as a bribe, it was amazing to see her turn around. Let’s put it this way — it might have been the best dollar spent that whole day!
40!!!
After stealing Micah away from work for a good movie and dinner (all kid free), he went off to play soccer for his big 4-0!
Little did he know that I had ordered two dozen cupcakes that I was taking for him and his teammates for after the big game.
So after his team won, we all sang, and downed some sweets that counteracted every bit of exercise that they had all just engaged in.
Happy Birthday babe — glad you could finally join the big dogs.
Sunday Best
After church, I told the kids I wanted a picture of them in their Sunday best with Blush, and then they were all to go and hang up their outfits nicely. We got everyone set up on the bench, and Scout was nowhere to be found. Until he showed up a few seconds later, and told me, “Mom, I hung my shirt and jacket up perfectly”.
Apparently, he got the order of things wrong, and our “Sunday best” picture, quickly became our “Sunday best minus Scout” picture.
Dashy Sings
When Dash pulled out the hymnal, and started singing, I witnessed the cutest thing in my life. He found the correct page, and just started belting “the words” out. He even used a bit of vibrato in that singing voice of his. I kept giving him the “thumbs up” sign, which fueled his singing fire. I always think that Dash might be the cutest boy in the whole wide world — and this solidified it.
Bubble Clean
Dash couldn’t figure out why we were all laughing at him when he got out of his shower.
When I finally showed him what he looked like, he said, “Maybe I should go back into the shower and get those bubbles off of my head.”
We all laughed as he ran back in to do a real-deal rinse off!
