Skilly is going to two proms this year.
Here, you can see prom hair number one, and an admiring spectator who is always watching, and trying to recreate those styles on me.
There is nothing like a good friend.
And Micah is that good friend.
When Tacky called up and invited him to take a golf cart ride (AKA transport his golf cart from his old house to his new — about 10 miles), not only did Micah agree to go in the rain, but he also provided the drinks.
Oh yeah — I’m a good friend too, because I followed their snail’s pace the whole way to make sure they were safe and not out of battery.
I even provided some amazing Les Miserable background music!
The trip went without a hitch, until the last mile’s hill. Good thing Micah is in shape, because between his pushing from behind, and Tacky’s foot — they made it the whole way!
Navy is getting really good on her rollerblades. But with the training wheels that a stroller provides, she is even better. So today she was giving out free rides, and Cade Hansen took her up on it for an hour. She strolled, and he rode.
Today was the highly-anticipated day where I get pampered with delicious food, served by a handsome son, with a show by that same handsome son to follow.
It’s quite possibly the best program of the year!
After the festivities, I get a beautiful picture of me…
With the sweetest note inside!
Happy Mother’s Day to me!!!
Dash’s birthday falls into the category of being able to go to Transitional Kindergarten. So today we signed him up, and they said he needed his shots. I asked when he needed them by — figuring it was before the first day of school. She said immediately. So our appointment was made, and two hours later — after hanging with the waiting room fish, he got caught up with five shots. Way to keep me and my shots in check Transitional Kindergarten!
Lexi sent me this picture she took of the Pips. She said she was dying over how cute it is. I agree — stinking cute! But man do we have some serious orthodontia in our future! Crowded teeth and a legit overbite are going to cost us a fortune.
Lately, Pippi and I have had a daily struggle. She now knows how to put on her own seat belt, which is really helpful. But unfortunately, she is the world’s biggest tease. So almost every single day when I ask her to get her seat belt on, she climbs the passenger chair and says, “Dis is my seat belt”! Then I ask again, and then threaten, and then usually… I get out and walk around the car and get her in her real seat belt. And as I do, she has the look of full satisfaction — just like the master tease that she is.
Just two girls who love their daddy.
Today, while the Seastrands were over, Micah put out the ramps. I think my kids spent 2 straight hours jumping these ramps on their bikes and scooters. It just goes to show you that a few pieces of wood and some nails are every bit as good as anything you can buy. So good, that each kid was begging Micah to make one for their own homes!
There is nothing I love more than a little one on one time with one of my kids.
Especially when it is at one of my favorite restaurants!
Manga Benei never disappoints and Dash never disappoints!
