After a meltdown at home, Scout finally saw the light as to why he needed to complete his homework in order to go to the DHHS Homecoming Dress Rehearsal. So after the Primary Program, as all of the other kids were eating the pizza Nonnie got them, I looked over to see Scout on the ground — working away.
Needless to say, he did his part — so I did my part, and took him to a fun night of watching Dana Hills work out all of the kinks for their upcoming show.
Nice work Scout.
I’m not totally sure what this little girl is trying to find, but whatever it is — it probably isn’t in Nonnie’s wallet.
But that doesn’t stop her from trying on a daily basis.
So much good comes with preschool.
But so much bad does too.
My sweet, innocent, always happy, always willing to help boy, now has streaks of defiance and whining and even a little sass.
HOW SAD!!!
The only thing I hold onto is that Navy and Scout went through the same thing. They see other behaviors that they didn’t know were “legal” and tried them out at home. I call it the “school phase”. I hate the school phase, because it makes a lot more work for me to consistently discipline the heck out of the bad stuff coming in.

But I see light with Dash already.
No matter how many magnet castles Pippi ruins, or how many snacks she steals from him, or how many times she teases him — he never loses patience with her.
He is sweet to the core with his little sister.
So I am hoping that this “school phase” comes to a quick close!
Just a little morning TV trickery that had Dash cracking up.
He couldn’t believe that he could see so many booty’s all shaking at once!
We always miss Bella!
Good thing we put FaceTime to good use while she spends her days in Utah.
My kids have actually said that they hope she likes them as much after she has her own baby, as she does now!
Kids — don’t worry.
I have no doubt that she will.
Meet the “Twips” AKA the Twins and Pips.
They fight a lot, play a lot, and nap together a lot.
Lately, after I take Dash to school on Tuesdays, I head over for the Twips to play together. About ten minutes after I get there — and the fighting sets in, Britni puts the twins to bed upstairs, and I put Pippi to bed downstairs. And then two older friends talk, eat and hang out together until its time to get the big kids from school.
Have I mentioned that lately, I love my Tuesdays!
You’ve got to love a bunch of these pictures, after you get your phone back from your 2 year old.
Pippi is in love with this little dog she got from the swap meet!
She just doesn’t love that it needs batteries to work.

Dear Pippi,
Any dog you ever have under this roof will need batteries to make them work. I’m sorry…but blame your dad.
Love,
Your Dog-Loving Mama
(Unless Dad gives in, and then I really am not a dog lover.)
They each have their own style — Pippi goes for the pointer, while Dash goes for the pointer and middle finger — but you can almost always see these two sucking their finger(s).
My mom mentioned that we should try to get Dash out of the habit sometime soon.
But I’ll never try to take away his favorite past time.
Unless he is 18, and heading off to some far away land on his mission.
Then…I might try to talk him out of sucking his fingers.
But until then, have at it my two little lovelies.
