I came on this scene, and asked Dash what he was doing.
He said, “Oh….ummm, I’m just waiting for my toast to jump.”
Anyone who knows my mom, knows that she hides all of her treats under her couch.
Well, all of my kids know my mom well.
So quite often, I see little bodies peaking under the her couch in search of a snack.
Even Pippi know about the under-couch snacks.
And today, she scored with a box of Triscuits.
So she took them, hid in the wrap room, and in an effort to eat them, made a huge mess.

The question in….
Who cleans this mess?
The Nonnie who irresponsibly hid messy food in a kid-reachable place?
Or the innocent mother?
When Navy was 8 weeks in utero, I was told I had twins, but that one didn’t look strong, so probably wouldn’t make it. Clearly, that one didn’t make it.
But one day I told Navy she had a twin, and she sometimes tells people she is a twin, and I think it is so funny. One day, she asked what her twin’s name was, and I told her it was Tallulah. So every once in a while, someone asks me, “Is Navy a twin?” or “Who is Tallulah?”.
And then between laughs, I tell them the story.
(Is this wrong?)
Pippi learned a great lesson today.
When you are tantruming, don’t head butt the edge of the chair.
this poor boy’s eye swelled up like crazy today.
We know it is allergies.
And we have narrowed it down to one of three things.
Pineapple
Ginger - Seth and Cade’s dog
Pollen from the honeysuckles
My motherly educated guess is pollen.
Skylar is running for Senior Class President, and needed some darling actors for her social media blast.
Actor 1.
Actor 2.
Skillz — with those actors, I think you’ve got it in the bag.
We took a quick trip to the garden to see what our soil looked like for the upcoming season. My kids love to lizard hunt while we are there, so I wasn’t surprised when Scout brought me a lizard. I was surprised that it only took him about 8 seconds to get it. I still hadn’t even gotten Pippi out of her car seat.
I was rather impressed, because it is usually Navy who gets her hands dirty first.
He passed his lizard on to Pippi, and then I started noticing that something might be wrong as it balanced on its side on her thumb.
then Dr. Doolittle showed us it was a dead lizard.
Scout then said, “Yeah….I couldn’t believe how easy it was to catch. It didn’t even move!”
So we found a resting place for that lizard and moved on to our plot.
Where Navy found a butterfly.
But upon a closer look, that poor thing had an injured wing.

I’m not sure what is going on here, but I am really hoping for good, in-tact veggies and fruit.
None of this misfit stuff.
While Micah was at his dad’s house, perfecting the pinewood derby car, he taught Navy and Scout that with a vice, you can bend money.
They were really intrigued.
Navy was so intrigued, that she decided to give it a go.
Unfortunately, she gave it a go with all of Grandpa’s spare change he keeps in his garage.
We were all SO excited to support Scout at his first ever Pinewood Derby!
Here is the car that he and his dad spent quite some time on. They sanded, painted, cut and weighed.
Can you tell that Scout has some nerves to deal with!
Noah Goodsell weighed them in, and they were almost perfect.
Notice the “Turbo Booster” spray that Micah brought to get into the heads of other competitors.
Clearly, Scout had some fierce competitors.
Here he is with the other boys, getting instructions.
They each raced four times, and the cumulative high score would win.
I’m proud to say that Scout and Seth and Cade all were in the top five!
They announced the top three, and we were leaving. But then someone told us to go and check out the scores on the computer, and we were number four!
Scout was really excited, and the night was a success!
Good work Scout!
But let’s be honest….great work Micah!
Although this picture is a reenactment, Scout made me go into Dash’s room to see something amazing. He had gone to sleep on top of his bed for his nap, and woke up on the ground like this. We are guessing that he fell out of the bed, and was so exhausted from a week of being spoiled rotten by his Bella and Nonnie, he didn’t jar. But it’s a good thing it didn’t jar him, because that boy needed some sleep. Already this morning, he has had a few only-child, spoiled moments, that none of us approved of.
