These two have a love/hate relationship.
Love when she is off her phone.
And hate when she is back on.
(If I have said it once, I have said it a thousand times….smart phones ruin relationships!)
While shopping at the mall, Christian discovered our “Jake” wigs.
So he helped himself to the following amazing looks.
The Marge Simpson.
And the Buckwheat In A Headlock.
I hear the following story from Dash about thirty times a day:
“Once upon a time, there was a bad kid in the barn. And he went poop all over me.”
-
Every once in a while there are deviations….like that bad kid was in an ice cream store. But the message is always the same. Someone went poop all over Dash.
Like the three before her, Pippi is in the habit of taking over Nonnie’s cereal on a daily basis.
It goes like this:
She sees Nonnie prepare her cereal.
Then she crawls over and begs at her feet.
Then Nonnie rushes over to the table to eat as quickly as she can before Pippi gets to her.
Once Pippi shows up, she sits her on the table and gives her bites.
Nonnie tries to feed herself intermittently, but the LOUDEST, MOST SHRILL screams come from the teeniest tiniest 10 month old.
And most of the rest of Nonnie’s famous Shredded Wheat goes to the little one.
Eat.
Sip.
Repeat….or in this case … WAIL!
(Cereal was gone!)
Dash and Pippi were hanging with a mystery woman.
They started out with some magnet fun.
And then moved on to some rounds of airplane.
Apparently Pippi saw the state of the toes that were holding her up and had to shed a few tears.
Hence…the reason the woman’s name will remain a mystery.
Wouldn’t want to ruin anyone’s reputation.
At 10 months, Pippi is constantly doing the E.T. finger.
It is a pretty simple thing….she puts out her finger, and expects everyone in the room to put theirs out and touch it.
Everyone is game to humor her on one of her very first tricks!
(Other first tricks include: If I cough, she coughs…If I laugh, she laughs. She claps. She does Itsy Bitsy Spider. She dances when there is any music or I sing. She puts her finger to her mouth and makes noise as she fake brushes her teeth.)
If you can believe….my little sweet thing was with me all morning getting my passport.
When we finally got home at 3:00pm I put her down for a nap.
It was not until 10:00 am this morning that I finally got her up for the day.
20 hours.
I guess this girl has had a long summer!
But nobody would ever know by the way she is always happy.
Talk about a perfect-natured little girl!
Popotomies, cavaties, broken teeth, cracked teeth, extracted teeth….you name, and Scout has had it.
His dentistry was costing us a small fortune, so we turned to a dentist that was on the lower end of the affordable scale.
But when those fillings fell out twice, I knew I needed to find someone new, and someone good.
Please oh PLEASE, let this dentist be honest and good.
Because he is close, nice, and seems to know what he was doing.
Saturday morning chores dragged on as usual.
So I told the kids they were outside until they were completely finished.
And when they did finally finish, they stayed outside finish up the very thing that was preventing them from their chores in the first place.
Apparently, they were doing a science experiment.
Entitled: separating a snail from its shell.
But when I told them that he probably didn’t want to get separated…
They ran to get the Band Aids to repair the situation.
You will never guess who finally cut a tooth!
And just to think that it was the seventh time I thought it was going to come through over the last four months.
Pips, I’m glad you finally made an honest woman out of me.
(Obviously I couldn’t quite capture a picture of it.)
