If Scout had a theme song, it would probably be that says “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”! This boy takes on any climbing challenge with gusto. This isn’t a new discovery of his…..he has been climbing since I can remember. Luckily he is a lot more stable now, and is pretty good about getting up and down safely. And if he struggles — he just hangs out until I get there….like the other day he was hanging from the side of his high chair for about three minutes until I got him. And when he gets to the top…..the little ham stands there until he gets the recognition he deserves.

Four Furry Friends
Navy would LOVE to have a/some pets. She is an animal and bug lover. She has always been the girl who comes to me with some sort of creepy crawly on her arms. So when Micah came home with four caterpillars for our butterfly cage, she might have been the most excited. (DId I mention that he came home with four, but the next morning, his fakey cage only held three. It wasn’t until dinner that I saw one crawling along our kitchen rug!) Scout helped get the cage all ready. Dash just oohed a bunch. But Navy took it upon herself to be the little ringmaster of these furries. Even though she wasn’t supposed to bother them, I had to let her have a quiet morning with them.
These things have become her latest obsession.
She was so careful with them, and loved showing them to Dash.
He wasn’t as intrigued - especially with them on his head, but was okay with them on his tummy.
They watched and watched and watched them.
An hour in, Dash was done, but Navy kept going strong.
I finally told her that they needed to take a rest from all of the exercise they were getting, and she reluctantly put them away in their home.
A Quick Cover Up
Scout was doing his homework alongside Navy, and called into me that Navy called him “Stupid”! A very bad word in our family when referring to people. Before I could even get a reprimand out of my mouth, she immediately yelled, “Nuh Uh! I called him Bupid!” Clearly, Scout heard wrong.
