Nonnie has been on a kick lately with making rolls.  It started with a celebratory dinner for our Ragnar winner that consisted of Thanksgiving Dinner — inclusive of homemade rolls. (May I take a moment and praise my mom for the most delicious turkey dinner I think I have ever had.)
Anyway, every time Nonnie gets out the Bosch to make rolls, the kids come running.

They help pour, measure, but mostly taste the finished dough.

Here’s Nonnie giving them a lesson on yeast needing “warm” water instead of “hot”, because hot will kill the yeast.
Looks like they are taking it all in!

This is where I told them that whoever gave the other a kiss first got to taste the sugar.
Apparently, they were both pretty eager and kissed a nose or chin to get the win.
Luckily for both of them — it was a tie.

The mixing is the final step before the taste testing begins.  I personally am not a fan of ANY dough, but the exception to the rule is my Mom’s bread dough.  And I am not alone.  Micah ALWAYS takes one to three unbaked rolls and downs them before they are even baked.  Well, Scout and Navy have discovered their love of bread dough also.  They both kept asking for “one more taste” a million times.  Glad to know the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
