Scout….9 Months Old!!!

My big boy is nine months old today!  About two days ago, he got his second top tooth.  It matches the other one…the one right to the right of his front tooth.  So in honor of Jack-O-Lanterns everywhere…he now has his two bottom teeth, and the two on either side of his fronts on the top. Congrats little guy! Not crawling yet, but he has mastered patty cake, bye bye, clicking his tongue, smacking his lips, singing with me everytime I sing, and bopping to music.  Basically he is perfect, and my very best friend…right behind the Shmickster!!!

Nurse Lindsey

As of today, my baby just got over his sinus infection, but is still on antibiotics.  Micah has the flu/sinus junk.  Trilby is on week two of the flu.  And most importantly….my mom has been sick for 3 weeks.  All I have to say is…thank goodness I haven’t had it.  And thank goodness the rest of the winter should be sick free….or let’s hope it is anyway!  But I will make an interesting observation…out of everyone who is sick, Micah is probably the least sick but the most verbal about being sick.  It reminds me of the time when I was about 8 months pregnant.  Starting at month 2, I had horrible indigestion EVERY SINGLE DAY!  Like, wake up in my sleep with acid in my mouth indegestion.  Well, Micah came in to bed one night and told me something was really, really wrong with him!  He had a burning throat, and it felt like his dinner was stuck in his throat and never went down.  I explained that it was indigestion, the same thing I had experienced for the last 6 months.  He told me, “NO BABE…there is NO WAY you have what I have…this has to be something different!”  I told him when he woke up from a dead sleep and had to run to the bathroom to throw up, he would come close to what I have had for the last half of a year.  He was convinced that his indigestion was much worse than mine….I was convinced he was a big wimp! So in the end….my observation is this…..girls are MUCH tougher than boys when it comes to being sick!

Record Keeping

Scout has been saying MAMA for about two weeks.  He was about 8 months and 1 week old.  He also has been SUPER cranky for the last two weeks…due to his third tooth.  (Notice the interesting timing on starting to be cranky….the exact same time we started to move).  The classic thing about his tooth — he has his two bottom teeth.  We knew another one or two were coming, but instead of his front teeth, or even his vampire teeth (like my nephew Camden)…he got only one - the one just to the left of his front tooth!  It looks really funny, and Micah gave him the nickname of snaggletooth.

Moving is for the birds!

Since the week before Christmas, I have been in the thros of moving.  Let’s just say….it has been fast, exhausting and overwhelming!  BUT….I do see the light at the end of the tunnel!  YEAH!
